Warriors Fight Hard in Berkeley College (NY) Loss

On Thursday, October 9, the women's tennis team squared off against Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent Berkeley College of New York. This was the third game of the season for the Warriors. The Warriors earned two points in the match, winning one singles event and one doubles event, both of which junior Angela Gomez (Westbury, NY)  was involved in.

Gomez defeated her number three singles match in dramatic fashion. She took her opponent into overtime to win 10-9 on an ace serve. Gomez then teamed up with doubles partner Lacyrose Dickinson (Newmarket, NH) to secure a victory in their number two doubles match, winning by a final score of 8-6

The Warriors lost to Berkeley (NY) 2-7. The women's tennis team is back in action on Saturday, October 18. The match will be played at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Center at 2 p.m.
